Same Day Couriers is the Divisional name for Rico Courier Services which is part of the rapidly growing Rico Group and provides a wide range of express logistics services. We are one of the UK’s leading independent courier companies. Having been established for over 21 years, we have grown to provide a network of branches throughout the UK, so we can provide dedicated courier services for our customers each based on their local requirements.

Our Head Office is based in Slough, Berkshire, but we have 40 locations across the UK and Ireland, providing a local source for your courier needs but with the reach of a truly national organisation.

Same Day Courier provides a complete range of express courier services covering the whole of the UK and Ireland. In addition, we provide direct drive services throughout most of Europe and a range of worldwide international courier services. We are proud to have one of the largest courier fleets in the UK, with access to over 3,000 vetted, trained and uniformed couriers, each one acting as an ambassador of your business.

We are able to provide a complete range of vehicles to suit almost any requirement, ranging from push bikes, motor cycles and small vans through to Long Wheel base vans and 7.5T Lorries. In addition, and with a little more planning, we can provide larger vehicles (18 tonners and 40’ trailers) and can even arrange dedicated aircraft and helicopter charters.

Rico also enables you to use its arrangements with 3rd party national carriers for your overnight delivery needs.

Whilst we have a large number of corporate customers, we have many, many small to medium sized businesses that are able to enjoy the benefits of having a local supplier with a national and international reach. The majority of our customers have used us for many years and are testiment to our local business approach.

No! We are able to accept bookings online from both account holders and non-account holders via credit card, debit card or Paypal.
Account holders can use corporate purchasing cards and we also accept payment via BACS, CHAPS and Cheque.

Making a job booking could not be simpler. For many customers the simplest way is to pick up the phone and ring your local branch. More and more customers are now using our interactive web booking facility. However, we are able to take bookings in a number of ways, particularly if you already have an account with us. Methods of booking can be by, fax, email, electronic interface or file transfer.

With our extensive branch network and access to 3,000 couriers, we aim to get your package on the road to its destination as quickly as possible – in most cases, we will collect your items within 60 minutes of receiving your call. However, if it is more convenient you can book a courier in advance and we can be ready to collect the item as soon as you have it ready to go.

Due to the recent investment in brand new communications technology, many of our customers can now track their parcel in real time as it makes its way to its final destination through the use of Rico’s NX Tracking. Alternatively, you can access the web site and get real time updates on the status of the collection and delivery, as well as viewing an electronic image of the signature immediately following delivery.
